We have also included a summary of each organisation whether they provide emotional or practical support and their level of qualification. Islamic Counselling Sakoon

Sakoon Muslim counselling was born from a need to provide a professional counselling service which was in congruence with the clients faith. Their counsellors are qualified to high standards that are also registered with a governing body such as BACP, CRB cleared. They provide a holistic approach which includes mainstream counselling and Islamic counselling and practical tools and techniques to empower you. They also deliver accredited Islamic training courses

Muslim Youth HelplineThe Muslim Youth Helpline provides emotional services to the youth in the UK via telephone, email. Their services are free and confidential to the Muslim Youth. Their volunteers are trained in active and basic listening skills to respond to client enquiries.

 

Abstinence CentreThe Abstinence Centre provides a specialist outpatient centre service for patients suffering from heroin addiction, alcohol and general opiate addiction. They have a high number of Muslim males that use their services.

 

Reflections HelplinRegistered charity which aims to empower children’s and adults via sports, Islamic events, residential’s and workshops in around Derby. Also raise money for good causes.

 

Muslim community Helpline Has been running for over 19 years and was the first of it’s kind providing a national service for women and girls suffering in silence. They provide an emotional support listening service and completely independent service running on a small budget

 

NSPCC Are the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk and find the best ways of preventing abuse from happening.
